Dark Chocolate Waffles

Dark Chocolate Waffles

Ingredients

  • 225g all-purpose flour (approx. 1 ¾ cups)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 45g cocoa powder (approx. ½ cup)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 3 whole eggs beaten
  • 60g unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 240ml milk (room temperature)
  • 90ml Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce (adjust based on preference)
  • Nonstick cooking spray for waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron as per the manufacturer's instructions
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder,baking powder, salt, and baking soda
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce, melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk Mix well
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined Do not overmix Let the batter rest for 5 minutes
  5. Lightly spray the waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray
  6. Ladle the batter into the waffle iron, spreading evenly
  7. Cook according to the manufacturer’s directions, typically 3-5 minutes, until golden brown and crisp
  8. Serve immediately with your choice of toppings such as fresh fruit, whipped cream, or additional Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce
