Flavoured Macarons

Ingredients

  • 250 g MONIN syrup.(choose your flavor)
  • 17.5 g dehydrated egg whites
  • 125 g almond powder
  • 125 g icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the syrup and dehydrated egg whites in a mixing bowl
  2. Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the almond powder and icing sugar
  4. Gently fold the almond-sugar mixture into the whipped meringue (macaronage technique), being careful not to deflate the mixture
  5. Preheat the oven to 155°C (310°F)
  6. Pipe the macaron batter onto silicone baking mats using a piping bag fitted with a size 8 nozzle
  7. Bake at 150°C (300°F) for 15 minutes
  8. Allow the macarons to cool completely on the baking sheets before removing them
