Flavoured Macarons
Ingredients
250 g MONIN syrup.(choose your flavor)
17.5 g dehydrated egg whites
125 g almond powder
125 g icing sugar
Instructions
Place the syrup and dehydrated egg whites in a mixing bowl
Whip on high speed until stiff peaks form
In a separate bowl, combine the almond powder and icing sugar
Gently fold the almond-sugar mixture into the whipped meringue (macaronage technique), being careful not to deflate the mixture
Preheat the oven to 155°C (310°F)
Pipe the macaron batter onto silicone baking mats using a piping bag fitted with a size 8 nozzle
Bake at 150°C (300°F) for 15 minutes
Allow the macarons to cool completely on the baking sheets before removing them
