Monin Roasted Hazelnut Pancakes with Dark Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp Monin Roasted Hazelnut Syrup
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Garnish

Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce ,Toasted Hazelnuts (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, Monin Roasted Hazelnut Syrup, and milk
  3. Add to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth
  4. Blend in melted butter Add extra milk if the batter is too thick
  5. Cook on a greased griddle with 1/3 cup batter per pancake, flipping once bubbly and lightly browned
  6. Serve topped with Monin Dark Chocolate Sauce and toasted hazelnuts
  7. Toasted Hazelnuts:
  8. Preheat oven to 190°C Place shelled hazelnuts in a heavy-duty ziplock bag, press out air, and crack with a heavy object
  9. Spread nuts on a baking sheet and toast for 7 minutes until golden
  10. Let cool before serving
