Tiramisu Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup tiramisu syrup
  • Crushed ladyfinger cookies (optional)
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a pot, heat cream, milk, and sugar until it starts to simmer
  2. Whisk egg yolks in a bowl, then slowly add the hot cream mixture while whisking to avoid curdling
  3. Return this mixture to the pot and cook on medium-low heat until it thickens slightly
  4. Strain the mixture, add tiramisu syrup, and refrigerate until chilled
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the machine’s Preparation Add cookies and chocolate, if you like, during the freezing process
  6. Transfer to a container, cover, and freeze until set
  7. Enjoy your Tiramisu Ice Cream!
