Caramel French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup half & half
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup Monin Caramel Syrup
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 6-8 slices brioche bread (1 inch thick)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Monin Caramel Sauce (for garnish)
  • Candied pecans (optional for garnish)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C
  2. In a bowl, whisk together half & half, eggs, Monin Caramel Syrup, and salt
  3. Dip bread slices in custard mixture, soaking for 30 seconds per side ,Let sit for 1-2 minutes
  4. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a sauté pan over medium-low heat Cook 2 slices at a time, flipping until golden (2-3 minutes per side)
  5. Place cooked bread on a rack in the oven for 5 minutes Repeat with remaining slices
  6. Garnish with Monin Caramel Sauce and candied pecans before serving
